We spoke with 9 destinations this week.

They weren't concerned out of lack of need or interest.

They were blocked by procurement.

- Three-quote requirements.
- Changing RFP thresholds.
- Approval processes that shift mid-cycle.

It’s easy to think this is just part of the process.

Although the organizations making real progress are anticipating it.

Aligning early, defining projects upfront, and preparing before procurement begins.

Because once the process starts, flexibility disappears.

We're still reflecting on the incredible connections and conversations shared at the New York State Tourism Conference a couple of weeks ago.

As we celebrate , it’s the perfect reminder of why travel is essential and the impact this industry has on communities, businesses, and destinations everywhere.

From discussing new ideas and industry trends to building meaningful relationships, the energy and passion behind tourism is what moves the industry forward every day.

Shoutout to Aline Gill and Sarah Fletcher for representing us in Utica, and thank you to everyone in attendance that helped make the conference such a memorable experience!
