Patricia joined us as a panelist on one of our signature panels at the Tourism in the Black: Culture & Currency Summit, sharing her voice, experience and perspective with our guests. She also extended her support beyond the stage by sponsoring these beautiful gold African Pride bags, provided by Strength of Nature, for our Summit guests and VIP guests at the Soul & Flavor Food Truck Fest.

We have spent the last several days in awe, watching the videos, answering the calls and text messages, and simply beaming at how Soul & Flavor Weekend played out like a movie.

The love. The support. The energy. The community.

We truly don’t have the words to fully express my gratitude for the way you showed up and supported a vision.

As we closed out the Tourism in the Black: Culture & Currency Summit, people got to hear a little about how we got here. And when we think about this journey, we realize that we don’t have a story about how hard it was to get Savannah to embrace us because you always made it easy.

Savannah made it easy for us.

Discover Black Savannah has become our love letter to our culture, our community, and our Hostess City. And this weekend, you loved us right back.

Whether you soaked up the knowledge and conversations at the Summit, ran with the crew at the Soul Run 5K, or ate, danced, laughed, shopped, celebrated and fellowshipped with us at the 3rd Annual Soul and Flavor Food Truck Fest, we saw you.

We felt you.

And we appreciate you.

More than 6,500 people gathered with us throughout Soul & Flavor Weekend.

86 vendors.
More than $585,000 in economic impact and spending.
Thousands of people dancing, eating, learning, running, connecting and celebrating together.

But the number that matters most?

ONE COMMUNITY.

This was bigger than an event. It was a reminder of what can happen when culture, community, entrepreneurship and tourism come together in one space.

To every sponsor, partner, vendor, speaker, runner, volunteer, Flavor Crew member, team member, DJ, artist, community leader, visitor, friend and family member who poured into this weekend…..THANK YOU!

And to Savannah…

I’m still on a HIGH from yesterday! 🥹❤️‍🔥

I truly want to thank Discover Black Savannah for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the 3rd Annual Soul & Flavorful Food Truck Festival and for choosing me to be a part of the Flavor Crew! 🙌🏽

This was definitely one of the highlights of my ENTIRE year! Being a part of an event that brought out OVER 5,000 PEOPLE is absolutely INSANE! 😭🔥 Savannah showed UP and showed OUT!

I’m beyond grateful for all the love, support, connections, and future opportunities that came from this experience. I can’t wait to continue bringing Yasmyne’s Kitchen to Savannah, meeting new faces, and sharing what I love with even more people! 💕👩🏽‍🍳
