Charleston was rated the number one vacation place by Travel and Leasure to visit for 2024, and Savannah placed in the number two slot.
Our daughters from Ohio visited us for a week, and we spent a night in Charleston; although I enjoyed learning its history, the preserved black history was minimal, unlike Savannah's.
We traveled by Amtrak train, and WOW, what a minimal, easy experience a train can make. We made it to Charleston from Savannah in ninety minutes; they provide outlets for your phone and lots of legroom. I recommend using Amtrak for your next journey instead of driving.
Now that I understand where it travels, my next venture is to Washington, D.C. I think they need our brand. I'll keep you posted:))
