Last night I went to a comedy show by myself.

Not because I had to.
Because I wanted to.

This is the new era.

No more waiting for someone to be free.
No more shrinking experiences.
No more sitting at home when I feel like going out.

If I want to laugh, I go laugh.
If I want to try something different, I do it.

Walking in alone felt powerful.
Laughing out loud felt free.

This is what reinvention looks like.
Quiet. Decisive. Unapologetic.

You do not need an audience to live your life.

Just permission from yourself.

Some days aren’t about checking boxes or chasing highlights.
They’re about being invited into places you’d never find on your own like the Marão Region, tucked high in the mountains of northern Portugal.

This was one of those days.
Quiet beginnings. A beautiful drive. A long tunnel that felt like a reset.
Then a small village, a family-run restaurant, and a meal served with zero agenda and all heart.

No menu. No rush.
Just food, conversation, and time doing what it’s meant to do, slow down.

I wanted to share this because reinvention doesn’t always come with fireworks.
Sometimes it shows up as choosing ease, presence, and experiences that feel deeply human.

Grateful to have shared this day with Beverly and Craig.

2025 looked different for me.

While waiting on my Portuguese residency, my visa had expired, which meant I couldn’t travel outside of Portugal. So instead of going elsewhere, I explored where I was.

I traveled within Portugal — slowly, intentionally and getting to know the country that is now my home. These are places I actually visited during that waiting period, not for content, not to check boxes, but because this was my life at the time.

This was the season I was in, and I made the most of it.
