Some places hold a town together without anyone realizing it until they’re gone. The kind of spot where you ordered the same thing every time andwhere the tables held decades of conversations. When a community staple closes, it’s a quiet kind of grief the kind that catches you off guard on an ordinary Tuesday.
But here’s what I keep coming back to: Lake Michigan doesn’t close. The dunes don’t retire. The light on the water at golden hour has never once missed a showing.
Wandering Soul Cabin is still here. Still rooted in the same trees, the same stillness, the same stretch of southwest Michigan that has been drawing people home for as long as people have needed somewhere to land.
Life is transitory that’s the beauty ; restaurants, seasons, even chapters we thought would last forever. But nature holds. Family holds. And the things we build in good faith have a way of outlasting the uncertainty.
Come find your still point. We’ll be here. 🌿
