Let’s talk about accessibility at Disney World
As a dream destination for many families, you might be happy to know it is accommodating for a lot of disabilities! I have personal experience visiting the park as a service dog handler, wheel chair user, feeding tube dependent, POC user, neck brace wearer, and have traveled with friends with severe food allergies, friends with rollator walkers, and more. You will be hard pressed to find someone with more experience with accessibility at Disney.
And while it’s not perfect, the wheelchair accessibility, food allergy awareness, and overall disability-friendly atmosphere that I’ve experienced here are second to no other place I’ve visited.
I’ve also seen this from the perspective of a cast member, as I worked here on a college program! And trust me, each and every cast member is taught to be inclusive of disabled individuals and treat us with the respect and inclusivity we deserve.
