Sorghum is now entering the heading and flowering stage, one of the most important milestones of the growing season. As each tiny flower blooms, it has the potential to become a kernel of sorghum.

This stage also highlights sorghum's natural resilience. Even through the hot, dry Kansas summer, sorghum thrives with exceptional water efficiency.

At Nu Life Market, flowering marks another important step in our grower protocol. Once the crop reaches this stage, no herbicides or pesticides are applied, helping protect the quality of every harvest. Combined with comprehensive pesticide testing, it's all part of our commitment to delivering clean, high-quality ingredients.

♻️ Sustainability sometimes looks like a pallet.

At Nu Life Market, we’ve transitioned many of our shipments to a closed-loop system of reusable plastic pallets that are returned, reused, and put back into service.

Our current pallet pool includes:
♻️ 300 reusable pallets
♻️ Up to 125 uses per pallet
♻️ As many as 37,500 shipments from the original pool
♻️ An expected 15-year service life

It’s a simple change that helps reduce waste, conserve resources, and support a more circular supply chain—proving that sustainability and operational efficiency can go hand in hand
