Mayor Jim McCamy has officially proclaimed September 17–23, 2026, as Constitution Week in the City of Scottsboro, joining communities across the nation in recognizing the 239th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution.

Constitution Week serves as a reminder of the enduring principles upon which our nation was founded and encourages all Americans to reflect on the rights, freedoms, and responsibilities guaranteed by our Constitution.

The City of Scottsboro extends its appreciation to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) for their continued dedication to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and educating future generations about the importance of our nation's founding documents.
We encourage all citizens to take time during Constitution Week to honor the vision of our Founding Fathers and to reaffirm our commitment to protecting the freedoms secured by the Constitution.
