Tonight’s the night! 🎨🎶 Come enjoy the final Night Market of 2026 and spend your Saturday evening celebrating local art, music, food, and all the fun on the Square! ❤️

The Art Society of Jackson County is getting ready for our last Night Market on the Square of 2026, and we hope you'll join us!

Spend the evening with us on Saturday, August 15, from 6–9 p.m. as we celebrate local artists, makers, great food, and live music in downtown Scottsboro.

We'll have live music from the Otis Walker Band, food trucks, and a variety of talented local vendors. Best of all, admission is free!

If you're an artist, maker, or food truck interested in being a vendor, there's still time to sign up. Visit https://artsocietyofjc.com/night-market for vendor information or send us a message. Food vendors must register at least one week in advance, and vendor setup is from 2–5 p.m.

Come out, shop local, enjoy the music, and help us wrap up another great Night Market season. We can't wait to see you on the Square!

Our county is home to some of the most amazing artists! 😍 What a beautiful quilted art design of Weathington Park. We love seeing the beauty of Jackson County captured in such a unique way!

And the timing couldn’t be better! Scottsboro Three Arts Club’s Art Sunday is just a few weeks away on Sunday, September 6. This piece, along with so many other beautiful works from talented artists, will be available for purchase.

Come out, support local artists, and maybe take home a little piece of Jackson County! ❤️

I was finally able to get back to my Weathington Park quilt. I removed the quilting from the top 5 inches of the sky and requilted it. There was some puckering in the quilting. I added two eagles as they are often seen soaring on the air currents. I hope this will find a good home soon. Look for it at Art Sunday - I will be there with one, my animal series and more.

🥾 The Walls of Jericho is getting some well deserved attention from AAA!

AAA recently featured Jackson County’s Walls of Jericho Trail among Alabama’s unique trails, calling it the most challenging hike on their list and describing the destination as “The Grand Canyon of the South.” ⛰️

Starting in Jackson County just south of the Tennessee and Alabama state line, the trail descends more than 1,000 feet into a beautiful box canyon surrounded by some of the largest stretches of untouched wilderness in the Southeast.

Hikers make their way through 3.5 miles of rugged terrain, creek crossings and incredible scenery before reaching the Walls of Jericho, a towering limestone amphitheater where the Cumberland Plateau reaches into Alabama. Depending on the season, you may even be rewarded with a beautiful waterfall and crystal clear pools.

Of course, getting there is only half the adventure! 😉 That climb back to the trailhead is one you won’t soon forget.

If you’re looking for a trail that’s challenging, beautiful and completely worth the effort, put the Walls of Jericho on your Jackson County adventure list.

👏 Thank you, AAA, for shining a spotlight on this incredible corner of Alabama!
