JUST BOOKED! 🥾🇵🇪 Our Machu Picchu group keeps growing!

Patty and Don are joining us in Peru, and this will be their THIRD trip with Susan’s Travel Services!

I can't tell you how much it means when clients keep coming back and trusting us with their vacations. ❤️

And this time, Dan and I get to travel right alongside them!

We're heading to Machu Picchu with Backroads for some incredible hiking, beautiful scenery and probably a few sore muscles along the way. 😂

I think half the fun of this trip is going to be the people we're sharing it with!

Peru, here we come!

Paper tickets. Fax machines. The years everyone said travel advisors were DEAD.

I've seen it all in 31 years. And I'm still here.

Here's what three decades teaches you: the destination matters less than the DETAILS. The right room. The realistic connection. Someone who answers when things go sideways.

Trends come and go. Care doesn't.

What's something you've stuck with for decades? ✈️

While I was riding around Moorea in a jeep yesterday, Dan was UNDER the island. 🤿

He went diving, and look who showed up to say hello. A lemon shark, cruising the reef like he owned the place.

Dan says it was calm and curious and not scary at all. I will happily take his word for it from dry land.

Would you get in the water with a shark like this, or are you team jeep tour with me?

27/10/2026

I traded the ship for a jeep in Moorea today. 🚙

And I am so glad I did. Those GREEN peaks look even better from the road, and every turn gave me another view I was not expecting.

I came back tired, in the best way. That is what a good day in French Polynesia does to you.

If you had one day in Moorea, would you head for the water or take the road inland?

People ask when McKenzie joined the business. The real answer? She never really left.

She grew up watching me plan trips at the kitchen table. Now she works alongside me, and honestly? She's BETTER at some of this than I am.

Two generations. One standard: we treat your trip like it's our own family's.

That's what happens when your business IS your family.

Do you work with family? Tell me the truth. 😄

In 1995, I had little kids and a big decision.

I wanted to stay home with them. But I also wanted to WORK. So I became a travel advisor — from my kitchen table, with toddlers underfoot.

31 years later, those babies are grown. And I'm still here. Still obsessed.

I started this business for my family. Now I plan trips for yours. That's the whole story.

What did YOU start for your family? 👶

We’re on board! 🚢

First look at our Medallion Suite on Silver Whisper. The ch*****ne was already on ice when we walked in, which is exactly how a sailing should start.

Dan and I are traveling with our good friends Peter and Sue, and I get to be the Virtuoso Voyages host on this one, which makes it even more fun.

Eleven days of French Polynesia ahead of us. Lagoons, little islands, and some very good food if I know this ship.

Have you ever walked into a room on a ship and thought, oh yes, this will do?

Friendly reminder from your travel advisor who hates seeing people overpay:

Explora's Alaska 2027 inaugural season is up to 30% OFF right now, with reduced deposits. But only if you book by October 27.

That's soon. Like, really soon.

Inaugural season + new ship + 30% off is the trifecta. These are the sailings people will be bragging about.

Don't make me say "I told you so."

Only 36 guests ride the Britannic Explorer at a time.

It's Belmond's luxury sleeper train, the first one in England and Wales, and it leaves London on 3-night journeys to Cornwall, Wales or the Lake District. There are just 18 suites, each with its own marble bathroom. (You know me… rooms matter, even on a train.)

What's on board:
- Menus by Simon Rogan, the chef behind three-Michelin-star L'Enclume (and the Lake District route stops at L'Enclume itself)
- A Victorian apothecary-style bar in the observation car
- A wellness suite, the FIRST on British rails, with treatments while the countryside rolls by

I call river cruises a hotel that moves. This is the British countryside version.

Advisor tip: the Cornwall route runs Friday to Monday and the Wales route runs Monday to Thursday, so you can link them into one week and see two very different sides of Britain.

The 2026 season wraps up in November, and 2027 dates haven't been released yet. If this is on your list, tell me and I'll watch for them.

Cornwall, Wales or the Lake District? 🚂

Alaska isn't just the sailing. It's what you DO.

Helicopter over the Juneau Icefield. A catamaran right up to Hubbard Glacier. The White Pass railway through the mountains. Explora partnered with Indigenous communities for experiences you can't get on your own.

That's the difference between seeing Alaska and EXPERIENCING it.

The excursions are where the magic happens. We help you pick the right ones, because not all of them are worth it and I'll tell you which ones are.

Helicopter over a glacier: dream or nightmare? 🚁
