“What’s the best cruise line to take to Alaska?”
I get asked this question a lot, and my answer is always the same: “It depends.”
I know, I know. You just want a straight answer, and you probably think I’m gatekeeping. I promise I’m not.
The truth is that each cruise line is best for different people and different priorities. If I give you a one-size-fits-all answer, you could end up booking a vacation that isn’t the right fit for you.
Why does that matter to me?
Because Alaska is my favorite destination, and I want you to love it as much as I do. Plus, if you hate your trip, you’ll come home and tell everyone you hated it and that I was the one who told you which cruise line to book. 😉
Before choosing a cruise line, here are a few things to consider:
• Who is traveling? Kids? Adults only?
• What is your top priority - the ship, the itinerary, or the cruise line itself?
• What are your non-negotiables?
• Is there a specific port or glacier on your wish list?
• Do you already have a passport, or are you willing to get one?
So when I answer your question with, “It depends, let’s chat,” I’m not being difficult, gatekeeping information, or blowing you off.
I just want you to come back and say, “That was perfect for us. Thank you.”
Have you cruised Alaska before? Tell me which cruise line you sailed and whether you’d choose it again!
