25 years! Hard to believe it’s over. I met and got to know so many amazing parents along the way( mostly moms!) I’ll never be the same and neither will River because of the long beautiful journey …

So appreciative of the friendships and time visiting with you all on the sand at this truly magical place. Will miss it on a profound level… Merry Christmas to every last one of you. So grateful for all of it! Merry Christmas!

It’s a wrap! 25 years! What an honor to share my passion for surfing with the amazing youth of this and our surrounding communities! I want to send out a huge heartfelt thank you to the multitude of families that have shared their young treasures with us!Another huge thank you to my wonderful staff through these 25 summers that have always provided the enthusiasm and kindness to ensure a fun experience for our campers! Their attention to detail and unwavering focus on the dynamic nature of the beach environment contributed to a perfect safety record for the duration of our River existence( sans the occasional sting ray incident). I’m also very grateful to the several generations of River regulars that have allowed us to peacefully coexist for 8 weeks each summer. ✌️ out, see you in the water 🙏❤️

V25.0 coming June 2025!

Chas Surf school will be celebrating its 25th season! Directed by Chas Wickwire, Chas has a background in communication, 5 National surfing titles and a lifetime of introducing thousands of newcomers to surfing as well as coaching surfing techniques at the most elite level. The school operates at the north end of Seal Beach at arguably the best venue for teaching surfing in Southern California. With an impeccable safety record and perennially outstanding staff, Chas Surf School can develop and nurture the skill set of every participant regardless of age or ability level in a very safe and positive environment. Surfers will provide their own equipment and a snack/lunch daily.

Weekly Camps

8 consecutive weeks starting 6/23 through 8/15
Cost $450 per week
9AM to 1PM M-F

No class 7/3-4 with prorated rate for that week

Summer Pass

6/23 through 8/15
Cost $1095

9AM-1PM M-F
No class 7/3-4
