Wild Sky Guides is proud to announce a Sustainable Bolting 2-Day class with Andrew Humphreys from V7 and Brent Roth from Kraken Whitewater!

Modern bolting in the PNW can be traced back to the arrival of Andrew. This class is the 2nd edition of a very influential class that was taught years ago by Andrew.

🗺️✨ The Catalan Atlas: A 14th-Century World in Color! ✨🗺️

Cresques Abraham was a Jewish cartographer from Mallorca, who in 1375 created the legendary Catalan Atlas.

This wasn't just a map; it was a treasure trove of medieval knowledge! Commissioned for French royalty, it showcased the world from the Atlantic to China, blending geography, trade routes, and vibrant illustrations!

Abraham, part of the famed Majorcan cartographic school, combined art and science, making this atlas a masterpiece of its time. It’s packed with insights from Marco Polo’s travels and reflects the era’s astronomical understanding.

We recently had an incredible experience bringing 16 US high school students to recreate this historical gem with expert Spanish artist Alberto Diego, mere meters from where Abraham worked! 🤯

Learning history by doing, and of course, enjoying some delicious paella! 🥘
