Before anyone ropes up, the guides have already done the morning hazard assessment: weather, snow, route and the team. It's the part of guiding you rarely see, and the part we take most seriously.

Ever wondered what happens on a 5-day mountaineering course? Here's the week, day by day 👇

Day 0: A Zoom call to go over gear, training and any questions.
Day 1: Meet at the trailhead, hike to camp, ice axe and self-arrest practice.
Day 2: Roped glacier travel, knots, route finding.
Day 3: Snow climbing, anchors, and crevasse rescue on real terrain.
Day 4: Summit attempt on Mount Baker.
Day 5: Back to the trailhead.

Meals, tents, ropes, stoves and permits are included, and most technical gear can be rented from us. Pricing and course details at the link in bio.

We're Bellingham-based guides teaching glacier travel, crevasse rescue and mountaineering on Mount Baker and across the North Cascades. Three things shape everything we do:
