One of our clients from Oregon, joining us with his brother and father, capped off his Spring black bear hunt with a beautiful mature boar that taped 6’6” square.

Spring is the optimal time to hunt black bears in our territory in north central BC. Bears are plentiful, we often see 6-12 bears a day, sometimes 15 or more. Our bear hunts are exciting, heart-pounding spot-and-stalk, (baiting bears is prohibited in BC). We’re usually able to stalk close; typical distances 50-100 yards. These big boars provide plenty of lean organic meat, and at this time of year, the hides are in pristine condition and make beautiful rugs and mounts.

A great mature billy taken last fall on by our client, an experienced mountain hunter and a guide himself in the US. The billy was taken on the second day of his hunt with us. He said about his experience hunting with us: “Just what I wanted!” We have one goat hunt still available for fall 2026, timeframe mid-Aug to mid-Sept. BC’s coastal range.
