Life is just better from the seat of a bicycle. , , . History: Bicycle Adventures was begun in 1984 with one van and a multi-day bicycle tour of Washington’s San Juan Islands. The original owners added new Northwest destinations over time, growing the company to 100+ tour departures. In 2008 Bicycle Adventures was purchased by Todd Starnes and Brad Barnard, two Seattle-area businessmen with deep roots in the bicycling and bike racing industry. The duo moved company headquarters to Redmond, Washington and have continued to expand to new destinations and experiment with new types of tours. Today Bicycle Adventures’ tour offerings include over 60 destinations with some 200+ departure dates.

Willkommen! After two days in the Methow Valley, and two days in Lake Chelan, our North Cascade to Leavenworth bike tour visits the Bavarian-themed tourist town, Leavenworth in Washington state. Both Lori and Tracie, two of our team members live in Leavenworth and would love to tell you about it.

Bonjour, À votre santé, and Au revoir! Ride and explore the only region in North America with a French-speaking majority on our Quebec's Blueberry Route bike tour. We'll ride sections of Véloroute des Bleuets, a159 mile paved cycling circuit around Saint-Jean Lake plus some other routes to visit other treasures of the area.

Our Hells Canyon and Wallowas 6-day, intermediate tour is a favorite of guide, James Kelly. It begins in Baker City, a major stop on the Oregon Trail, and continues in to the Eagle Cap Wilderness located in the heart of the Wallowa Mountains. Imagine high alpine lakes, meadows, bare granite ridges, and U-shaped glaciated valleys. The tour ends deep in Hells Canyon, carved by the Snake River, North America's deepest river gorge.

“The tour really gives you an idea of all that NM has. The variety of the routes has you seeing every sort of geography, from desert scrub to high pine forests, and the hike and raft add additional variety. The van support was excellent (never worried about running out of water and boosts were available when necessary). Jeremy was such a joy to be around too with his stories and attitude, and the lunches that he and Elise prepared were so far beyond what I expected. Do you like the look of one of our scheduled tours, but want it all to yourselves? If so, our Adventure Takeover is for you. Choose any scheduled tour that has not been reserved by anyone else and make it your own Private Adventure. A minimum of 6 guests is required with discounts for 8+ riders.

It's not too late to secure a date for summer 2025! We have 29 departures of 12 of our domestic tours that are currently available as an Adventure Takeover.
