Eva’s Wild exists to protect wild salmon throughout our bioregion – from northern California to Alaska - by giving back 10% of our profits to indigenous-led efforts that protect and restore vital salmon habitat throughout our bioregion.

We are a specialty distributor delivering wild, regenerative, sockeye salmon from the world’s most sustainable fishery in Bristol Bay, Alaska. We ship the highest quality salmon on the market directly to your door and also offer a wholesale line to acclaimed restaurateurs around the U.S. Our fish is the lowest carbon-footprint, center-plate protein on the planet that’s packed with protein and heart-healthy, Omega 3 fatty acids. And it’s orca-safe, meaning our human salmon-harvest in Bristol Bay is not in competition with any killer whale pods depending on salmon for their survival.

Come find us in person at farmers markets in Seattle and Bellingham, festivals and special events or check out our options on our website (link in our bio). We can’t wait to see you!

“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children” -Native American Proverb

At Eva’s Wild, we’re passionate about saving Bristol Bay and the wild salmon runs that flow through it so that’s where we talk about the most. However there’s so much more to this planet that we’re immensely grateful for. From the jungles of the Amazon, to the Sahara Desert, to the cliffs of Northern Ireland, to the parks and nature reserves of the Americas and beyond, we are so fortunate to live on planet Earth and all the wonders that it has to offer.

May we continue to protect all of these places for future generations. Happy Earth Day! 🌎🌲🏝️

If you’re like us, we all got excited by “false spring” last week but now that it’s back to being cold and wet, we want something warm and nourishing to take off the chill. However, we don’t want to go back to the heavier meals of the winter. The tease of warmer weather won’t leave our memories that quickly!

Enter our Smoked Salmon Chowder recipe! Made with seasonal vegetables and fresh herbs, it will give you that warm cozy feeling while enjoying the produce you picked up at the farmers market. We’ve also replaced half of the potatoes with cauliflower to give a lighter texture for (hopefully soon) warmer temps.

We recommend topping with fresh herbs to give it an additional brightness but we get it if you dig in without because this chowder is SO good!

Visit our blog for our full recipe at www.evaswild.com.

It’s smolt migration season! Like all species of Pacific salmon, sockeye are anadromous. They spawn in the fresh water and then spend one to four years in streams and freshwater lakes before swimming to the salty waters of the ocean. There they live for another one to three years before returning to the streams of their birth to spawn the next generation.

Small streams play a vital role in sockeye salmon life cycles. Streams need to have enough water flowing for them to spawn, hide from predators and find deeper pools where they can keep cool in the summer.

For wild salmon, the health of the land surrounding lakes and rivers is as important as the health of their waters. Stream health is rated on many factors but low bed stability, high sediment, low dissolved oxygen, elevated nitrogen, and higher than usual temperature often impact salmon habitat.

Luckily for us, the streams in the Bristol Bay region are currently exceptionally healthy and pristine, supporting the world’s largest sockeye salmon run.

Keep any eye out for these aquatic teenagers the next time you’re near a river in the PNW, British Columbia or Alaska!
