While there are only a small percentage of mushroom species that are good to eat, many more are simply beautiful. Some are brightly colored. Some glow under a UV light. Some bleed when cut. There are so many wonderful species to find for so many different reasons, mushrooms truly are amazing. Here are some examples of some really beautiful species I found right here on Whidbey Island πŸ„πŸ˜

I think this is my new favorite photo I’ve taken of Nolanea holoconiota. I really don’t get tired of photographing this species under 365nm ultraviolet light. That color tho! πŸ™ŒπŸ˜πŸ„

A sneak peak at one of last years display tables. I set the table up like this for every public tour. The day prior I spend the entire day in search of as many interesting specimens as I can find to display and show you. Last year I had no less than 40 different species displayed! Come join me this Spring! Mush love! πŸ„β€οΈ Link to website πŸ‘‰ www.whidbeymushroomtours.com
