New Porcini/Morel Potluck Foray Dates: Saturdays June 22, July 6, and July 27. Max just sent a message, "The morels are up at 6000ft, should be good soon!" And we are seeing "Greys" at high altitudes, so these forays are likely to find those coveted Morchella tomentosa.

This is a guided mushroom foray where we walk in the forest with you, and you have time to ask questions and learn how to find "burn morel" mushrooms.  Max Hunter is a commercial forager, and has scouted the area we're going, he just sent me a report saying, "The morels are out now"!  So, its time...

Spring Kings are starting in Shasta!!
MaX Hunter is taking out a group from the Shasta area on Saturday May 18th. Join him to learn about Spring King Boletes. They are just starting to pop up, and should going strong soon!

Morel forays are happening!! Folks last week all found a nice amount, maybe 20 or 30 per person, thanks to Max Hunter's excellent scouting. It was quite and adventure trekking up and down the hills, but everyone got out alive and went home with morels! And it didn't rain (it was predicted to be pouring)!
