☀️ The Lowest Price Isn’t Always the Best Deal! 🌴

Let’s talk about something I think is really important when planning a vacation. ❤️

I completely understand wanting to get the best price for your hard-earned vacation dollars. Trust me, I love finding a great deal just as much as anyone!

But here’s something I’ve learned through my experience as a travel agent: The cheapest vacation isn’t always the best value.

When I’m putting together quotes for my clients, I’m looking at so much more than just the price at the bottom of the page.

✈️ Flights: Are you booking Basic Economy or a fare that allows you to select your seats? Is baggage included? What happens if you need to make a change?

🏝️ Resorts: Are we comparing the same room categories? Is one an entry-level room while the other includes upgraded amenities or a better location?

🚐 Transfers: Is transportation between the airport and resort included, or will that be an additional expense when you arrive?

🍹 Extras: Does one package include additional perks, resort credits, upgraded services, or other benefits that aren’t included in the cheaper option?

💰 Policies: What happens if your plans change? Are you comparing refundable and nonrefundable options?

These are the things I’m looking at when I put together your vacation. I’m looking at the overall experience, not just the bottom line.

I spend time researching the resorts I recommend, learning the differences between properties, and making sure I’m offering options I would feel comfortable booking for myself.

And if you find a lower price? Let’s talk about it! I want to make sure we’re comparing apples to apples. 🍎 Sometimes there really is a better deal out there, and I’m happy to look into it!

There’s also something else I feel strongly about, and that’s respecting other travel agents.

If you’re already working with another travel agent, I encourage you to continue working with them. They’ve likely spent time researching your vacation, comparing options, and putting together recommendations specifically for you.

I don’t believe in taking another agent’s hard work and simply trying to beat their price. Could I potentially match it? Absolutely! Many of us work with the same suppliers and booking platforms. But that’s not how I choose to do business.

I respect the time, knowledge, and effort that other agents put into their clients’ vacations, just as I hope others respect mine.

At the end of the day, I don’t want to be the cheapest travel agent. I want to be the travel agent you trust. ❤️

Someone who gives you honest recommendations, pays attention to the little details, and genuinely wants you to have an amazing vacation.

Because booking a vacation should be about more than finding the lowest number on a screen.

It’s about knowing what you’re getting for your money and having someone in your corner who cares about your experience.
