Good find on our way home from Hilton Head in Statesville! Newly renovated Sonesta Select Hotel. They have a restaurant and your stay includes a sit down breakfast entree cooked to order. Resort style pool and it looks like they are in the process of building a pool bar! Restaurant called Red Buffalo (local brewery) on site where we had a drink and some wings before retiring. $119 a night! Great midway stop on your drive south. I would be happy to book this for you or any of your hotel stays.

We are on the move! Headed to Hilton Head for a week and we’ve never been! Drop me your favorite things to do in the comments!

Carowinds is the cutest amusement park! Straddling the border of North and South Carolina you can have one foot in each state! Great rides at Camp Snoopy for the family and several large steel coasters for us big kids! The Fury 325 was our favorite. Best part? It’s part of our Cedar Point pass. Definitely worth the stop.
