Sedalia is excited to welcome members of the Monaco International RV Club, who are visiting our community this week for their rally. We enjoyed meeting many of them at the Katy Depot today!

With travelers visiting from California to Massachusetts—and many places in between—our guests are experiencing everything that makes Sedalia a great destination.

Did you know the Katy Trail State Park isn't managed from a single location?

Stretching nearly 240 miles across Missouri, the nation's longest developed rail-trail is divided into four management sections to help keep it safe, scenic, and ready for adventure. Each section is overseen by a superintendent who manages both their home state park and a portion of the Katy Trail, supported by dedicated maintenance staff who work year-round to keep the trail in top condition.

The four sections include:
• Katy East: Machens to Matson
• Katy Mid-East: Matson to Mokane
• Katy Mid-West: Mokane to Pilot Grove
• Katy West: Pilot Grove to Clinton

It takes a team of 4 superintendents and 12 maintenance professionals to care for the trail's 240 miles of history, recreation, and natural beauty.

A special thank you goes to the wonderful team at K**b Noster State Park, who oversee the Sedalia section of the Katy Trail and work tirelessly throughout the year to keep it safe, beautiful, and welcoming for the thousands of visitors who enjoy it. Your hard work helps make every ride, walk, and adventure on the trail a memorable experience.

🎇 Patriotic Parade – 10:00 AM in Downtown Sedalia
🌭 Picnic in the Park – 11:00 AM–1:00 PM at Liberty Park (free hot dogs, chips, drinks, and train rides for the first 500 attendees!)
🏊 Star-Spangled Swim – 11:00 AM–5:00 PM at Liberty Pool (half-price admission and free for military and veterans with ID)
🎆 Fireworks Display – Approximately 9:30 PM at the Missouri State Fairgrounds
