This is a page to promote my guide service, Bo's Sportfishing Adventures LLC. I have been a guide in Washington for the last six years. The rivers that I spend the most time on are the Klickitat, Wynoochee, Satsop, Humptulips and Olympic peninsula rivers. I also do trips for spring chinook on the Yakima, Cowlitz and Klickitat rivers. “Fishing” has been consistent recently. This one jumped several times. We’ve been reflecting a lot on perspective and expectations this year. In the past we’ve experienced less boats and less people. Odds are obviously better in those conditions, we fish how we fish and where we fish because of memories or even just the look of a river. Maybe there’s one hole, maybe there’s an entire stretch of river you prefer. It’s hard to explain the feeling to someone that’s never “fished.” Back bouncing is life during spring months for me. If you’ve spent the time to learn this with me hats off to you. You “fish.”

Spring chinook fishing is always so up and down…one day you land on them and they won’t leave you alone! Others they give you little glimpses and they’re gone! One of our highlights this weekend was landing this absolutely platinum pair of springers. We actually had to hand line both fish to the net after they went ballistic.

The next day I had bites. More bites than I thought we would get for sure, but things just weren’t right. Polar opposite results as only two fish stuck and both came off. Tough day with great anglers and most importantly great people!

Whether it be conditions or just pressure it doesn’t matter. If you’re fishing for springers life is definitely good!

Found some with a tight line and found some with some slack. It rained, it hailed, it snowed and then it rained some more. Great weekend fishing and hanging out with great people. One more weekend of long drives and we’re changing scenery. Get ahold of us for spring chinook dates for April and May. It appears we will have a similar run to years past which will provide opportunities in all forms of fishing. Been a long time since the world and I have been right with each other.

Rates will be 300/person 2-3 seats. Single angler trips will be 500/ day if you’d like to fish alone. Two and three boat trips available.
