Attention Claws Army!!!
Every year around this time, right before the craziness starts, I like to reflect a little and put things into perspective.
Between Christmas parties, preparing for the rush, what to get the kids for Christmas, etc. I'm reminded of when my sister and I were young. Our parents didn't have much, but what they gave us was unconditional love and holiday memories that we will never forget.
We knew an elderly couple named Irene and George. We called them Aunt and Uncle. Irene and George gave my parents a roast beef that year as my dad fell on hard times. My sister and I had no idea until later in life, but that one gesture stuck with me till this day.
I'd like to utilize my Claws Army to help me repay what Aunt Irene and Uncle George did many years ago and continue this new Claws tradition that started last year.
Every year on December 24th at 4:30 pm, when the crew has left the shop, I pour myself a shot of scotch and thank God for another fantastic year. Unfortunately, we always have a ton of extra product that I know will eventually go to waste as we are closed for the next few days. Since food pantries don't except perishable products, I would like to put together care packages for someone who might be going through some hard times this year. Enough food that a family can feast on for Christmas.
I don't want to know names or what their circumstances are (it's none of anyone's business) i just need an address. I will put together a feast that they will never forget and drop it at the door step on my way home.
If anyone knows someone (local) that can use a little holiday help. Please reach out to me on messenger, and we can coordinate a drop off.
I'm looking for at least 6 families.
Please help me honor Aunt Irene and Uncle George. I know they are smiling in heaven right now.
Thank you,
Frank
