Air travel is tough right now and it’s just because it’s spring break. Here’s what I’m recommending to clients to make their travel experience just a little easier.

1) Flying a little earlier than needed. TSA agents are overwhelmed right now. Air traffic controllers are struggling too. What does that mean? Delays at security. Delays on the tarmac. Arriving at your destination later than expected. Book that earlier flight if you can.

2) Search alternate and smaller airports even if it means a longer drive to the airport . Security wait times will be shorter because of smaller number of flights and lower passenger traffic. Little waiting on the tarmac because the airport handles less flight traffic. It will be a more “normal” flying experience.

3) Look into getting TSA PreCheck and/or Clear so you aren’t stuck in the standard TSA line which will have longer waits.
