Abrams Falls in Cades Cove is such a beautiful hike! It’s 5 miles round trip, moderate hiking trail leads to a stunning waterfall. Plenty of river views along the way as well. The trees were right around their peak when we did this hike & it made the journey perfect.

Bring some good hiking shoes/tennis shoes, water and a camera of course! This trail can easily take around 3-4 hours.

*No pets allowed on this hike…. And please clean up water bottles and snack/picnic trash. We had picked up some water bottles that were unfortunately left on the ground at the waterfall area.

Looking for something easy to do with all the amazing views? Try out Foothills Parkway! It’s a 33 mile parkway in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You can easily spend a few hours driving, pulling off at the scenic overlooks and taking it all in! I’ve even seen some people bring lawn chairs and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains at some of the larger scenic areas.

The leaves are just starting to change, imagine when they are in full fall mode! All the enjoyment of high mountain views without the treacherous hike!
