Cades Cove Vehicle-Free Wednesdays return June 18, 2025. They will continue every Wednesday through Sep. 24. Vehicle-free days allow people to walk, run, hike, and bike the 11-mile scenic loop in Great Smoky Mountains National Park without motor vehicles. This larger-than-life FREE experience will transport guests millions of years back in time to encounter the awe-inspiring giants of prehistoric times including the Jurassic era.⁠

Opening this Spring, Jurassic Adventure at The Island in Pigeon Forge will immerse families in a world of dinosaurs, discovery and delightful adventure. 22 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, each with interactive elements, will take over The Island, captivating guests with their realistic movements and sounds. ⁠Curious explorers will find plenty of educational opportunities to broaden their dinosaur knowledge!

At the heart of the experience, the Island Fountain Show will feature a massive 23-foot tall Brachiosaurus and 18-foot tall playful juvenile, brought to life with a custom-scripted to lights and music Island Fountain Show that will engage the senses like never before.⁠
