Charming Corner lot home minutes to Lake Shelbyville
Love spending time at the lake? Would your group like to stay together in a unique 2 story historical cottage style home with lots of character that is close to both Lake Shelbyville and town amenities as well? Located within walking distance to several downtown restaurants/bars/shops and only 1 mile to public boat ramps and beaches.
Two story cottage style home built in 1870, updated, fully furnished kitchen and dining room, comfy living area space around the flat screen wifi TV (no cable). Large utility room with washer/dryer, utility sink, and it has doggie door access to a fenced in back yard. Housebroken dogs and responsible owners are welcome! Dogs must be approved in advance and a pet fee and refundable damage deposit will be required.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other has both a full and twin bed in it. The master bedroom is on the main level and has an access door to the backyard deck that looks out over the fenced in back yard, where you can sit in the rocking chairs and sip coffee in the morning. There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room as well.
Please note that both bathrooms are on the main level of the house, one off the master bedroom and the other off the living room area where the queen sleeper sofa is.
Off street parking for vehicles or a boat is available, just pull in the driveway on the right side of the house and park in front of the carriage house, please do not block the alley. Parking on the Walnut Street side of the house is also an option.
A charcoal grill, fire pit, and picnic table are at the house. Firewood is available for purchase at any gas station in town. Charcoal and grilling supplies are in the laundry room area on a rolling grill cart.
The house is at the northeast corner of N 2nd Street and W Walnut Street. Google maps street view is not giving correct images, they are showing the other end of the block. Working on getting this updated with Google (wish me luck), but I can email you better outside pics on request.
