We are a seasonal fair food vendor.

My original thoughts for the business was to find something to do that was fun and contained food. I was also looking for something that allowed for more time to do mission trips/volunteering. The third piece that I was looking for, was something that would help my family financially with the expense of Alzheimer's Disease, that in which has stricken my mother. I know in my heart this business wil

l provide all those above things....and more. The outcome of all this hard work ... BANANA CABANA ... and it simply tastes amazing =]

It appears that summer fairs are back in full swing. We do sincerely hope everyone has been healthy and safe through this pandemic.

We have received numerous messages asking about when and where we will be this summer. A post is definitely needed to share with you all. With family coming first in 2019, then everything closed in 2020… currently moving forward, Brian and I have decided to close the doors on Banana Cabana and spend time with family and our children during the summer months. As I type this we are at Anoka County Fair, however instead of the food side we are camping on the 4H side while one of our daughters is showing her horse.

It has been a joy and blessing to have offered the Cabana to you all over the years. We have made so many friends and lovely connections that we would not have traded it for the world!!

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support!!

You will still be able to message me though this page and if anyone has any interest in purchasing a food trailer, we may know somebody 😉 serious inquiries only please.

I have not started this post all summer simply because I have been having difficulties finding the words. At the end of the day it is what it is and there is no easy way to type this.

The Cabana has decided to take the summer of 2019 off due to family obligations that conflicted with our fairs.

Our girls have joined 4H and are showing horses during the Anoka County Fair which conflicts with the Slice of Shoreview. My niece and goddaughter is getting married in Forest Lake during our time down in Owatonna at the SCFF.

Being a small husband and wife run business, Brian and I have decided to take this summer off and attend these family events.

I hope you all understand and it breaks my heart to not see all of you and not to be able to cook up some delicious Banana Wraps for you all!!

Many of you know it has been challenging, to say the least, for Brian and I to both work full-time and raise our family IN ADDITION to having the Cabana. It has been a dream, desire, and goal to operate the Cabana at more fairs/events than we have been able to.

This winter we made some tough family decisions that will allow for me to follow my dreams and find my purpose and pursue it. With the passing of my mother 6months ago, it has really made me focus on what’s important and to go grab it.

As much as I have LOVED having our REAL bamboo siding, it has been one of the main deterrents for me to sign up for certain events due to the non-efficient setup. So we had an inspiration to simplify it! ~and for me to practice my artistic abilities 😂🤣

This summers schedule we will try our “new look” and a “new product” at:

Slice of Shoreview Days July 27-29
SCFF August 14-19 (featuring frozen chocolate covered bananas; plain and gourmet -along with the wrap of course!)
