People often ask, “What’s your favorite place you’ve visited?” To be honest, I hate the question? It’s like asking someone, “What is your toe?” It’s so broad. Favorite destination for food, for music, for beaches, for skiiing? Every place in the world has pros & cons so asking for a hands down favorite is impossible. However, when I am asked, and realize I won’t be let off without an answer, Corisca is always at the forefront of my mind. Maybe it’s the lush rugged coastline (pictured) or the friendly people, the savory foods, the delicious wines…or maybe it’s the fact that my ancestry hails from this gorgeous French island or perhaps I was just visiting there at a time in my life when I was truly open to experience the culture and beauty the country had to offer. Again, it’s not my favorite place ever…I don’t have one of those…but it’s high on the list.
