Hook and Swirl

It was a wavy Monday morning folks, and the sky was beautiful over the lake too. This wave was spectacular so I thought I better share. Water was warm @ 54°f and I was overdressed with 7mm of neoprene. Last week it was 42°f one morning.

A Hint of Fall

The first signs of fall are starting to show along the North Shore.

A few leaves are beginning to turn, the air is getting a little cooler, and Lake Superior is still calling.

September is a great time to explore Split Rock Lighthouse. Climb the tower, wander the historic grounds, take in the views, and enjoy the changing season before the full colors arrive.
