Mauritanian economist Sidi Ould Tah has been elected as the 9th President of the African Development Bank. With 76% of the vote, he will succeed Akinwunmi Adesina starting September 1. Tah brings extensive experience, including leadership at the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa. His appointment comes at a pivotal time as the AfDB faces financial challenges and aims to strengthen infrastructure development across the continent. ”

Don't assume that Africans know ALL of Africa because slavetrade bundled us regardless of origins and language. Don't decry the lack of knowledge either.

Hi everyone! Net Impact Schulich is going to be hosting its first event of the season on July 14th. As future business leaders, we believe it is important to engage in dialogue that tackles the nuanced concept of racism within the corporate ecosystem. As Net Impact Ambassadors, we know that the greatest impediment to a sustainable world is racial injustice and inequity.

We will be hosting an online discussion with six successful Black leaders and visionaries who will be addressing issues such as microaggression, racial bias, and performative allyship. The panel will be an opportunity for us as a community to educate ourselves, unlearn our biases, question the structural racism that is often inherent within our workplaces, and learn to be better allies.
