Trip to Egypt - Jewel of the Nile

Spend unforgettable 10 days exploring the history of Cairo and ancient Egypt along the Nile valley. Spend two days in Cairo to see the Giza Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, the Step Pyramid of Sakkara and Old Cairo. Travel south of Aswan and embark on a Nile cruise to see the wonders of the Nile Valley.
Day 1: Arrival Cairo
Welcome to Cairo, Egypt
Your tour manager will meet and assist you at the Cairo International Airport (Arrival area) and will es**rt you to the hotel by exclusive air-conditioned deluxe vehicle. At the hotel the tour manager will assist with a smooth check-in and review your itinerary to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.
Overnight : Cairo.
Welcome Drink
Day 2: Pyramids / Sakkara
After your breakfast at your hotel in Cairo you will be met your personal guide who will accompany you to Giza Plateau to visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus - Famous Sphinx and Valley Temple facing the great statue. Additional visit to the Solar Boat in front of Cheops Pyramid (extra ticket required) you will have lunch (included) and then proceed to the Sakkara area to visit Sakkara Complex and the first pyramid ever built (Djoser Pyramid). You will travel to Memphis; Old Kingdom's capital and the famous Necropolis.
Overnight: Cairo.

Day 3: Cairo Sightseeing / Train to Aswan
After breakfast you will check out of your hotel in Cairo and be es**rted by your private guide to visit: Egyptian Museum, Treasures room for the child king Tutankhamen, alongside many other fascinating artifacts. Additional visit to the mummies room at the museum (extra ticket required) After lunch at a local restaurant you will visit Saladin Citadel including Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside. Continue to Coptic Cairo to visit the Hanging Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue and then you will explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Later, you will be transferred to Giza railway station to board the overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board inside your private compartment.

Day 4: Embark/ Aswan Sightseeing
Upon arrival in Aswan you will be met and assisted at the Aswan station by our representative to embark on your Nile River Cruise around 11 a.m. You will have lunch and then enjoy visiting the world famous High Dam, the awesome Philae Temple, which is devoted to the two goddesses Isis and Hathor , and the largest known ancient obelisk, located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt, the Unfinished Obelisk. Dinner on board and overnight in Aswan.

Day 5: Kom Ombo / Edfu
Sail to Kom Ombo, have breakfast on board and Visit the Temple shared by two gods Sobek & Haeroris in Kom Ombo. Sail to Edfu, have lunch on board and then visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, Horus Temple in Edfu. Take afternoon tea during sailing to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 6: Luxor West Bank
Sail to Luxor, have breakfast on board then visit the West Bank, take an excursion to the royal cemetery for 62 Pharaohs, Valley of the Kings, then to mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by the architects of the New Kingdom Pharaoh Hatshepsut approximately in the 15th century BC, at El-Deir El-Bahari & the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board. Enjoy afternoon tea during sailing. Dinner on board. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 7: Luxor East Bank / Train to Cairo
Breakfast aboard cruise before disembarkation and then you will be accompanied by your guide to visit Karnak & Luxor temples at the East bank of the River Nile and later you will be transferred to Luxor railway station to board the overnight sleeper train back to Cairo. Overnight on board and dinner in your private compartment (twin beds).

Day 8: Return to Cairo
Breakfast aboard sleeper train before arriving Giza train station, where you will be met and assisted by a representative who will transfer you to your hotel for free time at leisure ( you will check into your room as early as possible ). Optional excursions are available in Cairo.

Day 9: Optional trip to Alexandria, free day in Cairo or return home
Free day in Cairo or optional tour to Alexandria visiting Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century by Sultan Qaitbay on the spot of Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse. Visit the new and much acclaimed Alexandria Library and visit the Roman cemetery cut out of the rock, the Catacombs. Return to Cairo and overnight.

Day 10: Depart to the US
After breakfast at the hotel in Cairo enjoy some free time before your flight. After check out you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your departure.

Passport and Visas: You must have a visa to enter Egypt. U.S. citizens can obtain a renewable single-entry 30-day tourist visa on arrival at Egyptian airports for a 25 USD fee. A multiple entry visa is also obtainable for 35 USD
