🌿 Silverton Business Group is On the Move This Week!

We’re taking the Silverton Business Group on the road again! Join us this Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. at The Oregon Garden, 879 Main Street, for a special opportunity to hear what’s happening at one of Silverton’s best-known attractions.

Executive Director Delen Kitchen will share an update on The Oregon Garden’s recent successes and challenges, including its renewed partnership with the City of Silverton and ongoing efforts to make Garden operations greener and more sustainable.

As The Oregon Garden celebrates 25 years, this is also a great opportunity to hear directly from its leadership about what’s ahead and the plans shaping its future.

Come with your questions, enjoy the beautiful setting, and connect with fellow business and community members. Everyone is welcome—and please help us spread the word about this week’s location change!

🧡 What’s Your Jason Story? 🧡

Jason Franz’s impact on Silverton can be seen in the places he helped create, the programs he championed and—most importantly—the people he inspired.

Jason was a driving force behind the Silverton Skatepark and our local mountain bike teams. He believed young people deserved opportunities to get outside, be active, find their people and discover something that made them feel capable and confident.

But Jason’s support wasn’t limited to the kids who rode bikes or skateboards. He was an advocate for all young people. He saw their potential, encouraged their ideas and worked to make Silverton a place where they could belong and thrive.

We know there are countless “Jason stories” throughout our community—and we would love to hear yours.

Did Jason encourage you, mentor you or make you laugh? Did he help your child find confidence, support an idea or show up when it mattered? Perhaps you worked alongside him on a community project or simply remember a moment that captures who he was.

Please share your Jason story in the comments. Let’s fill this post with the memories, laughter and moments of encouragement that show just how far his influence reached.

And while you’re remembering Jason, stop by Silver Falls Brewery anytime during September and buy him a beer. Simply tell your server, “I’m buying a beer for Jason.” Each purchase supports the Jason Franz Fund and its work to keep local kids active—carrying forward a legacy that continues to move our community.

Tell us your story. Raise a glass. Keep Jason’s legacy moving forward. 🧡

🌧️ FIRST FRIDAY WEATHER UPDATE 🌧️

Well, Mother Nature had other plans for our final First Friday of the season!

After talking with our partners at the Silverton Flywheels and Silver Falls YMCA, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s planned First Friday activities on Main Street due to the weather.

But First Friday is STILL ON throughout Silverton! 🎉

Our local shops, restaurants, breweries and businesses are still ready to welcome you. So grab an umbrella, bring a jacket and make an evening of exploring Silverton, doing a little shopping, enjoying dinner or a treat, and supporting the local businesses that make our community so special.

We’re disappointed we won’t get to close out the season with our Back to School Bash on Main Street, but we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for First Friday this year—and to all of the businesses, vendors and community partners who helped make these evenings possible.

☔ Main Street activities: CANCELED
🛍️ First Friday around town: STILL HAPPENING!

Come show our local businesses a little First Friday love tonight. 💚

🍺 September is “Buy Jason a Beer” Month 🍺

Jason Franz and I shared more than a deep love for this community—we shared birthdays just one week apart. Each year, we celebrated another trip around the sun, often at a Chamber event or meeting, with plenty of laughter and the kind of meaningful conversations that happen between true friends.

Jason was one of the Chamber’s greatest champions. He served on our board for many years, and his friendship, encouragement and unwavering support meant more to me than I can express. His generosity and dedication left a lasting mark on the Chamber and throughout our community.

This September, I’ll be celebrating our birthdays by buying Jason a beer—or two—at Silver Falls Brewery, and I hope you’ll join me!

Throughout the entire month, simply tell your server, “I’m buying a beer for Jason.” Each beer purchased in Jason’s name helps support the Jason Franz Fund, which carries his legacy forward by supporting youth recreation and encouraging local kids to get active.

Let’s raise a glass to a wonderful friend and community champion—and help his legacy continue to lift up the next generation.

Cheers to you, Jason. You are deeply missed, but the difference you made lives on. 🍻

🎀 Today is National Bow Tie Day — and in Silverton, one bow tie immediately comes to mind.

For generations of local shoppers, Orville Roth’s bow tie was about much more than looking sharp. It represented something he believed deeply in: Bow Tie Service.

It meant greeting people with a smile. Knowing your customers. Taking pride in your work. Going the extra mile. And treating people like neighbors—because they were.

While Orville is no longer with us, his bow tie spirit certainly is. His legacy lives on through Roth’s, through the people he influenced, and through a philosophy of service that feels right at home in a community like ours.

So in honor of National Bow Tie Day, we’re tipping our bow ties to Orville. 🎀❤️

Did you know Orville? Do you have a favorite Orville or Roth’s memory? We’d love to fill the comments with stories. Share yours below! 👇

☕ NEW MEMBER WELCOME! ☕

Please join us in welcoming Solvivo Coffee Roasters and owner Trevin Miller to the Silverton Chamber!

Formerly a longtime Silverton coffee shop, Solvivo is beginning a new chapter built around great coffee, thoughtful sourcing, excellent service and strong community connections.

Solvivo roasts its coffee beans in small batches and serves espresso drinks featuring house-made and Holy Kakow syrups. Its from-scratch menu includes bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos, creative toast options, sourdough, fresh pastries and an impressive selection of gluten-free choices. Solvivo also offers retail and wholesale beans, coffee subscriptions and espresso catering.

Their philosophy is refreshingly simple: no pretension and no fuss—just a good cup, made well, at a fair price, served in a comfortable place where you’re invited to stay awhile.

Stop in and say hello—no purchase necessary—or connect with Solvivo Coffee Roasters on Instagram at or on Facebook.

Welcome to the Chamber, Trevin and the entire Solvivo team! 💚

It is so fun to work at the Visitor Center - I just had the best visit with a parent from Coeur d'Alene who is here early for the football game on Friday. She's loving our little town and gushed about how fun it was to explore it. She left with dining and shopping recommendations and maps and brochures.
