One of my absolute favorite parts of my job is hosting small group tours. There’s just something special about watching complete strangers meet at the airport… and leave a week later as friends.
This Iceland crew was no exception.
We hiked our way across Southern Iceland, survived what felt like approximately 47 mountains (it was probably only a few 😅), asked “Are we there yet?” more times than any adult should, and all agreed our local guide conveniently forgot to mention that every hike was uphill… both ways.
And let’s not forget the trail that casually kicked things off with 500+ stairs. I have questions… mainly, who looked at that and said, “Yep, let’s start there.” 😂
Somehow we all made it, laughed our way through sore legs, unpredictable Icelandic weather, and enough snacks to fuel a small village. The waterfalls, glaciers, black sand beaches, and unforgettable views were incredible—but the friendships we built along the way were the real highlight.
This is why I love small group travel. You don’t just check a destination off your bucket list—you share it with people who quickly become part of your story.
✨ If you’ve been thinking about joining one of my hosted group trips in 2027 or 2028, send me a message! I’d love to help you find the adventure that’s calling your name. Who knows… your new favorite travel friends might just be waiting for you. 🌍❤️
