✨🤿 Meet-the-team-Monday ✨🤿

Born and raised in eastern Canada, our guide and social media manager Heidi now calls Sitka her home. She gets out snorkelling every month of the year and spends as much time in the mountains skiing and hiking as possible, for both work and play.

✨🤿 Meet-the-team-Monday ✨🤿

Derek, another key pillar in the Selkie Snorkels world, is an avid adventurer and water enthusiast hailing from Los Angeles, CA.

Committed to sustainability and fighting climate change, he has designed some of the world's largest battery energy storage systems.

He has his PADI Scuba Diver certification and has hung out with a myriad of marine life in the reefs of Roatan, Hawaii, Malaysia, and Thailand.

He captains a Pearson 31 sloop in the San Francisco Bay and dreams to sail to La Paz, Mexico on his blue water baby 'Les Bons Temps'. 🌊

✨🤿 Meet-the-team-Monday ✨🤿

Alyssa has been living in Sitka since 2015 and is originally from coastal Massachusetts. She is an avid snorkeler and free diver and often harvests shellfish and seaweed when she's in the water near Sitka.

When she isn't snorkeling, Alyssa works as a freelance graphic designer, and has spent her recent summers working seasonally outdoors at a fish weir fifty miles north of Sitka, and also as a commercial fishing deckhand on troll and longline vessels.

She helps co-lead a community bicycle cooperative in Sitka called the Salty Spoke, and loves to bike and hike outside! 🤘🏻

Co working & art space available 🖥️ 🪑 🤝🏼

The upstairs of our snorkel shop is a collaborative work space, and we are renting out spots to individuals looking for a brightly lit, centrally located community office space.

The cost is 99$/ month and will be available to rent year round, or month to month.
