Even when I didn't have guests aboard the family still loves going out whale watching

I often tell guests the biggest challenge with whale watching is that even though I stay 100+ yards away from whales the whales don't know the rules because they can't read.

Sometimes they turn and swim right towards you, sometimes they surface next to you. Whenever that happens I have already turned my motors off to listen to them breathe. It's amazing to hear how big their lungs are.

With Sitka Safari know SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY! With routine hull cleanings, inspections, gear oil changes and new zincs we are always making sure the boat is going to take us to see all the wildlife in a safe manner. We have lifejackets to fit every size and a full first aid kit we hope never needs to be used. Your captain is CPR and First Aid trained. We always plan for the worst and hope you have an experience of a lifetime on our adventures!
