I’ve booked more all inclusives than I can count at this point😅, and there are a few things I WISH someone had told me before booking my first one. Here’s what I’ve learned along the way➡️
Price ≠ luxury.💁🏼♀️
Just because a resort is the priciest option doesn’t automatically mean it’s the most luxurious/best option out there. And just because a destination with these types of resorts are pricier doesn’t mean the resorts there are better. A lot of the cost difference comes down to competition: in destinations where the all inclusive market isn’t as saturated, there are fewer resorts competing for your business, so prices run higher even when the quality is comparable to a “cheaper” destination with tons of options. This is where knowing the market (not just the price tag) matters.
Payment plans ARE an option. Most vacation packages let you lock in your trip with a low deposit and pay it off over time. You don’t need the full amount saved up to book! You just need a deposit to start dreaming of palm trees and warm weather.🌴☀️
Not every beach is that blue. Those crystal-clear, turquoise-water photos you see all over social media? Gorgeous, but seasonal (and sometimes destination-specific). If that exact water color is non-negotiable for you tell me!📣I’ll steer you toward a destination and travel window where you’ll actually get it.🤌🏻
Airfare adds up fast. The resort price might look like a steal, but flights can make or break your total budget. Always price the whole trip (if flight schedules are available during the time of quoting/booking), not just the stay.✈️

Your room is a whole vibe, not just a place to crash. You’ll spend more time in your room than you think. Sitting outside in the hot weather is exhausting so naps are important. Getting ready, relaxing, taking in the view. Don’t sleep on picking the right room category (pun intended 😉). And also let’s not forget cleanliness! You want to feel comfortable in your room! This is where picking out the right and reputable resort with consistent service matters!
