This past weekend I had one of my best friends and his family come in town from Tennessee to fish… The weather was all over the place and the weather people were completely wrong, but we made it happen. We mostly fished in Lake Borgne with and live shrimp chasing trout on Saturday and reds on Sunday. Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one!

The fish were hungry today! 😮‍💨 My clients had their trout limit before 8 which is too early to end the trip so I took them to catch some redfish….. The redfish were apparently hungry too because they had that limit with a released 29” bull before noon! 😳 Live shrimp from and on drop shots with 1oz cannonball weights from in 12-14’ of water in Lake Pontchartrain for the trout…. Live shrimp and around the Rigolets for the redfish. Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one!

Done before 8…. Time to go find some redfish!
