Walleye stocking updates
I hesitate to post these because I already know someone is going to start hounding me about why their favorite lake only got a certain amount. Here's a few answers that may help you.
During a recent conversation with a state biologist, he mentioned creel clerk survey data being a huge factor in who gets what. The size of the lake also has influence on the qty released. Even though I'm personally guilty of waving the creel clerk away, we should all understand that the data we give them goes directly to the desk of the people who determine stocking qty in your lake. In case you haven't met a creel clerk, here's a brief explanation. They drive around Lakes and Rivers and interview anglers while on the water asking questions about fish caught, money spent, and other questions.
Looking through these numbers this morning made me very happy. Hopefully it will make you happy as well. Once again, thank you to our hard working friends at the state fish hatcheries for what they do! Without them we wouldn't have very many TENNESSEE WALLEYE!!!
Wear your PFD

Be nice to the Creel Clerk 😆
