It's great to be back home after a nice long vacation. It's even better to have repeat clients in the boat. The Norris family got to see a few drastically different techniques for catching these picky October walleye. The FishUSA flagship rods did the trick today on a variety of species including Walleye, White Bass, and Catfish .

The full moon + cold front had me scratching my head for a few days. I rescheduled a few trips and went on a hunting mission. Mission accomplished!! 7 keepers and 2 shorts made for an interesting day on the lake. If your guide isn't working hard to make sure your day on the water is special.....find a new one!

I'm extremely excited to announce that I have partnered with FishUSA as a Field Staff member. The thousands of you that have fished with me already know I'm extremely picky about who I recommend when it comes to fishing products. FishUSA has been my goto source for most of the gear I use for years. When clients want to know where to get the gear they use in my boat, I've always felt confident sending a link to FishUSA. Here's to the future with a company I know and trust with my business needs. Fast shipping and good prices on all your fishing supplies.

Boat trailer steps update!!

It has been 2 weeks now since we had our trailer steps fabricated and installed and I'm just gonna shoot you straight...........I smile every single time I use them. I'm not even sure how I did it without them at this point. In all honesty, I'm not a small guy and I've been hard on my body my whole life. Running for years, as well as being extremely flat footed , have taken a toll on my knees. It's not easy for me to monkey climb up and over the front of a deep -v trolling boat. Getting out was even worse. These trailer steps have been the single best thing I've ever added to our fleet. We plan to have a set installed on our center console trailer as well. If you find yourselves battling these same issues, just take a minute and send my friends over at Howard's Boat Carpeting a message and get on the calender. You will not regret it. Unfortunately we aren't getting any younger 😕

Just tell John that 007 sent you.

The Aschoff family from east TN , joined me for their wedding anniversary. Center Hill Lake did not disappoint!!! They stayed pretty busy reeling in fish all day. Thank you for trusting me with your special occasion. Cheers to many more special days and a lifetime together on the water. Let me know what time the fish fry starts and I will head right over 😆
