I had a few new interactions with this neglected lil account…. I want to say hello! And We are still here! We live in Fieldbrook, CA & moved here during the beginning, relatively speaking, of Covid-19 in 2020. Before our move, and since we came back from Costa Rica, we lived in Atlanta and in a county with one of the top 15 biggest school districts in the USA. The kids were each in a school with about 2,000 people total. The time to leave the city was clear. It was not an easy decision. We were there five years, we made amazing friends, we BOTH had jobs we loved. But chad and I felt drained from daily life and being surrounded by millions of people, most of whom were really struggling to get by even then. (I can’t talk about now because it is seriously too much to handle.) anyway, To know that it is time to leave all that, well, that says something about where we were. The effects and costs of the changes were, predictably, underestimated 🙂 but being closer to Liz’s family has been absolutely life verifying and essential during the last couple years. It’s still hard to just exist, but we are here and we are doing our best to live a really rich life in a place full of natural beauty again. We have not been able to return to Costa Rica since we left in 2015. But dreams can live forever. Sending love to everyone!

True story: sometimes I wish I never saw, felt, smelled, heard or lived Costa Rica, because it won’t get out of my blood 💔 and maybe I’ve sabotaged my life happiness for one year of 1000% bliss. The worth it-ness is something I really can’t decide on and probably never will.
