BIOGRAPHY: I began diving in 1971 and became certified on May 14 through the Aqua Falcons Skin Diving Club at Clark Air Base in the Philippines. I was an avid diver throughout the 70s and in 1979 I became a Divemaster in pursuit of a dream. That dream was to live and work in the islands pursuing the occupation of being a dive professional. While implementing that dream, however, my circumstances c

hanged. Although I continued diving into the early 80s, life intervened and I lost sight of my dream. Instead, I joined the ranks of many others in the corporate world, pursuing education, a family and the like, that is, until recently. Recently, I remembered the dream . . . and now the dream begins anew. Almost seven years ago, I became reacquainted with a lady from the early 70s. Sometimes a person chooses a path of his own making which is not the correct one and, with time, maturity and unmistakable circumstances, you get to clearly see the path you should have chosen. So it is with my re-acquaintance with that lady, Deb. Our reuniting was unmistakably orchestrated by God. She is what God intended for me from the beginning. She is my Soul Mate and she is with me on this adventure. It is because of her, I remembered my dream.

So, I found the following statement under the history tab of the new Utila Cays Scuba Resort web page and I have to question its validity. The statement reads: "Under Josh's leadership Utila Cays Diving obtained #1 status on Trip Advisor..." Now if the statement said that under Bogdan's leadership UCD achieved #1 status then I would have to agree. Anyone who knows the situation there, knows that Bogdan was the driving force and it had been his vision from the time he departed Utopia to build a dive operation on the Cays. But that statement as it stands leaves me scratching my head wondering what information am I missing or is someone trying to rewrite history?

Now for those who are unaware, Utila Cays Scuba Resort is the name of the current operation based in the old Kayla hotel, which had been the Utila Cays Diving operation founded and nourished by Bogdan.

The way I see it, the people in the picture in this post along with other instructors and support people (who do not appear in this picture) are the people who are responsible for Utila Cays Diving achieving the #1 status in Utila and these people were all involved in the operation because they were added to the operation by Bogdan and no one else.

I may be a little dense but I am really having a hard time understanding this. Please help me understand where the truth is by adding your comments, understanding and experiences with Utila Cays Diving.

Also, if you look at the last paragraph under the History tab, are you seeing someone dumping blame for something (don't know what it is and don't know why it would be there in a company history) on Bogdan with very bad grammar, no less?
