It was a pleasure to take part in the SPEARIT veteran fishing tournament. When I met the guys I asked them what type of trip they wanted. We could have a chill day on the water, or we could shoot for one of the trophies. They unanimously voted to get into the competition. We started slow, but ended the trip with 40 minutes of full throttle Spanish mackerel fishing. A couple fish were just shy of citations. We ended up boating around 30 Spanish and taking home the most fish trophy. I hope I was able to give these guys a cool experience and a fun day on the water.
