3 years? It feels like 30 years ago. Oct 7, 2023. My name is Philip McCallum. I couldn’t sit at home and watch Israel writhe in pain in the news. I took a flight to Israel. Alone. The first of 11 since the war started. Since then 238 people travelled with me to “comfort, comfort my people.” My Israeli friend asked for multitools for his soldiers. I brought all that I could pack plus a stack of bullet proof vests to give away. I visited my soldier friends serving on the Gaza border, Lebanon border, and in Samaria. My barber in Israel welcomed his new born daughter on Oct 7. Lives stolen and life returned. Many Americans have followed. Many more to are to come. I’m going back to Israel for another visit in December. I have another five trips planned in 2027. The last three years changed the trajectory of my life. Am Yisrael Chai. The people of Israel live because the God of Israel lives.
