When talking to others about trekking in Nepal, I'm almost always asked, "What are the accommodations like in Nepal?" I decided to take some pics of the rooms I stayed in during my most recent trip. These particular photos were taken on the Annapurna Circuit and Mardi Himal treks.

Well…that’s it! Another trip in the books and a very good one at that. The team was taken to the international airport here in Kathmandu this afternoon and as I write this they are on their way back home. I look forward to my journey back home tomorrow. I’ll post photos from yesterday soon.

Thanks again to everyone following along with our adventure! Next year I’ll be returning to the Everest region to celebrate my 20th year of travel/guiding in Nepal. You may want to be a part of it - Just sayin’.

Days like today are bittersweet. We arrived in Pokhara late in the morning, got settled into our hotel, and then shared one last lunch together with our amazing Sherpa and Porter staff before saying goodbye. I can only hope to work with these hard working men again someday. Thank you!

The Mardi Himal trek and this year’s trip to Nepal is slowly coming to an end. We had our last day on the trail today coming down off the ridge line that makes up the Mardi Himal trek. The team is currently in the village of Dhampus for the night and tomorrow we head to the resort city of Pokhara for a couple of days of exploration and relaxation.

The Mardi Himal trek is an absolute beauty! It’s short and sweet, and puts you right at the base of the sacred peak of Machapachare.

Having not had internet access over the last few days, I get a bit behind and overwhelmed when it comes time to post pics again. I hope this isn’t too many to look at, as it’s so difficult to narrow the selections down. I hope you enjoy them!

Hoping this works…the team is doing great, we are back at Forest Camp after finishing the Mardi Himal trek. There is not enough bandwidth to post photos at this time, but hope to either tomorrow or the following day, as we will be in the city of Pokhara.

The Annapurna Circuit trek is now in the books! We are now headed to our second trek, the Mardi Himal. We arrived in Landruk this afternoon and ascend tomorrow morning up to the Mardi ridge line that will lead us towards the sacred peak of Machapuchare. This team is fantastic, and groovin’!
