Position Summary:

Assemblers will assemble trailers daily under the supervision of the Production Manager. This position will develop processes that maximize efficiency, productivity, quality and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, specifications and parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies while checking for defects
Verifies specifications by measuring completed components
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Notify the Department Supervisor of any BOM discrepancies and provide suggestions for correction.
Submit Engineering change requests when corrective action is know
Adheres to all RVIA standards directed by Management.
Reduces scrap levels
Keep lines moving to ensure daily goals and schedules are being met directed by Management
