Karen had the opportunity to experience Greece this weekend aboard the Variety Cruises Voyager, a small-ship cruise sailing roundtrip from Athens. This Memorial Day weekend, all of us at Travel Haus are taking a moment to reflect with gratitude — for the freedoms we enjoy, for the opportunities we have to explore this beautiful world, and most importantly, for those who made those freedoms possible through their sacrifice and service. ❤️🤍💙

Over the years, some of the most meaningful moments our clients have shared with us while traveling haven’t just been about beautiful destinations… they’ve been about connection, remembrance, and history coming alive in deeply personal ways.

We’ll never forget when Suzi escorted a group through Vietnam and witnessed grown men brought to tears as memories of their time there during the Vietnam War resurfaced. Or just last year, when Liza and Cheri spent a moving day with nearly 20 women exploring the WWI memorials scattered throughout the Passchendaele Valley in Belgium — standing in places where history forever changed the world.

Travel has a powerful way of turning pages in a history book into something real and human. It reminds us that the freedoms we often take for granted came at an immeasurable cost.
