LeSEA Israel Tours Our ministry has been hosting tours to Israel for over 50 years. We travel with you as the Bible com His passion for the region soon led him to bring others.

Dr. Lester Sumrall fell in love with the Holy Land and its people in 1950 when the Sumrall family lived in Israel. LeSEA began officially hosting group tour excursions to Israel in 1965. LeSEA Tours has taken over 10,000 travelers to the land of the Bible, while striving to make each tour a spiritual learning experience. It is with a heavy heart that we write this post. We have been in constant contact with our travel team in Israel, and due to concerns and certain travel restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic, we feel it necessary to cancel our November Tour for the first time in over 50 years.

Every nation is facing unprecedented challenges determining the regulation of domestic and international travel. This includes travel bans, as well as mandatory quarantines for travelers. At present, these measures and others make a functional tour logistically unfeasible. Please know we at LeSEA Tours strive to provide our guests with the highest quality trip possible. Our top priorities are always safety, comfort and hospitality. Unfortunately, there are too many critical unknowns to ensure we deliver on these priorities.

Happy Shavuot from Lesea Tours!

While our time at the Western Wall may be a time of personal solemn reflection, it can also be a time to reflect on the glorious history of the Jewish heritage.

Shavuot is the celebration of the giving of the Torah and the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) on the same day, as well as the offering of thanksgiving to God for the first fruits.

Update on situation in Israel:

Israel is in the midst of opening up the economy. The government of Israel (in practice) ended quarantine and allowed most business to open up. Most retail stores are allowed to open (indoor shopping malls are still closed) keeping social distancing. Elderly people and people with certain medical conditions are asked to stay in house.
Events with large gatherings are still not allowed so all venues of entertainments and sports are closed.
Some international airlines announced that they will start flying to Israel in May/June.

It was another sun-filled day here in Israel, as the group spent the early afternoon at the Garden Tomb. After witnessing the empty tomb, we gathered together to worship the Lord and take communion. Pastor Mark Lantz spoke from Ephesians about God raising us up with Christ and sharing the anointing with others. Tonight, we will have our farewell dinner and head to the airport. Hopefully we see you next year in the Holy Land!
