This is email is for everyone who thought they could not afford college. The Bronco Promise is up to 10 semesters of 12-15 credits for free as long as you meet the criteria listed below.

Western is an amazing place, and the people are SO nice on this side of the state! If you or someone you know is thinking about applying, don't wait. It takes about two weeks to get everything situated and the deadline is 7/1. This is an amazing opportunity to go to college for free, and there is no minimum GPA or SAT score! I am so proud to call myself a Bronco!

CONSIDERATION CRITERIA
Full time, incoming first-year students
Residents of Michigan as determined upon admission
Demonstrated financial need via a completed 2022-23 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Household Adjusted Gross income (AGI) of $50,000 or less AND

- Household net assets under $50,000

If a student was awarded and paid the scholarship after their freshman entry semester but does not meet the qualifications for the award in a subsequent year, they may file and appeal for reinstatement. Appeals will be considered for:

Adjusted Gross Income/net income increases
A lapse in continuous enrollment
No appeals will be considered for students enrolled in fewer than 12 credits hours per semester, changes in residency status, an award in a summer session, or additional semesters of eligibility beyond the 10 semesters allotted.

DEADLINE
Students should be admitted to the WMU and have completed the FAFSA by July 1, 2022.
