Watching the devastation of the beloved Tahoe region with teary eyes. My sympathies to those who have lost their homes and a tip of the hat and pure awe of the tireless, brave work of firefighters and others working to save lives and structures.

Assuming my house makes it through unscathed, I’ll be offering it as a temporary home for displaced folks as needed.

Thanks to everyone who has visited and enjoyed Cold Creek Chalet during this difficult year. I hope the place has provided a needed escape from daily stress. In July I committed to donate 5% of second-half bookings to nokidhungry.org. Today I'm proud to announce a donation of $1225 to this worthy organization. A note to all Cold Creek Chalet patrons. Thanks for the continued bookings during these challenging times. I'm glad the house has provided guests a nice escape from city and regular life the past few months. We continue to follow state and local guidelines for STRs and have instituted additional cleaning protocols as outlined here: https://www.airbnb.com/resources/hosting-homes/a/cleaning-guidelines-to-help-prevent-the-spread-of-covid-19-163. I'm also leaving at least a 24-hour buffer between guests for new bookings.

Bottom line, you should feel comfortable and confident to come stay at the Chalet. If for any reason you're not feeling great about your vacation, I'm making every effort to provide reservation flexibility.

Finally, as I mentioned previously, I'm donating 5% of second half revenue to nokidhungry.org. Thus far that donation looks to be $750 and growing. Thanks for being a part of something great. And thanks again for making your happy home away from home.

Hey everyone, looks like travel restrictions and Tahoe rental bans are starting to ease up this month. If anyone is interested in renting Cold Creek Chalet for Memorial Day Weekend, I can offer return guests 3 nights at $995 including all cleaning fees and taxes. That's about half what it normally rents out for on holiday weekends. And you have the security of being the first guests to use the place in over a month due to quarantine restrictions.
